They've had this promo active for at least a year now, so it's nothing new
Altho that being said, their banh mi's are excellent and are my go to for a delicious & cheap lunch.
Can't think of anything that beats their value

I randomly stumbled upon Ngon on Kingsway when they were on TooGoodToGo and really liked their banh mi’s. They became my go-to place since Au Petit Cafe closed. But I will give Obanhmi a try too, thanks OP!

I really liked Banh Mi Saigon as well. It was my first introduction to Banh Mi and was my go to for the longest time.
Altho, I've stopped going since they raised the price past $6. It used to be a toss up between which one I preferred, but now that they're so much more expensive, Obanhmi is the clear winner.
Obanhmi also has the advantage of having several locations across GVR compared to the single shop that Banh Mi Saigon has

Obahnmi on Kingsway has always been great. Great portions and price. They also have a loyalty card with your phone #. Buy 10 get one free I believe.

Bahn Mi Saigon still pretty good though even if they upped their prices a bit. I remember when Au Petit cafe were like $4

I would say this is a great alternative!

Kim Chau Delicatessen used to have them for $4 no tax (but might have gone up during past year, not sure!) and Ba Le about $6-7

Will give this one a try though! Would love more recs for "special" (viet ham, pate) subs

much cheaper if u buy and make ur own! the bread is dirt cheap..the cha chien is like 7.99 for 500grm block, pate, that butter/egg sauce...then u add carrots,chilis, cucumbers, corriander!
