[Oculus] Oculus Summer Sale (Quest 2 games)

Deal Link:
Expiry:
June 26, 2022
Retailer:
Oculus
More offers from Oculus
Big sale on Quest and Quest 2 games. Runs until the 26th. Lots of bigger titles.

Resident Evil 4
Population One
Jurassic World
Superhot
Demeo
Climb 2
Les Mills Body Combat

Some on sale for the first time too. E.g, Nock, Zenith, Virtuoso, Ultrawings 2.

Definitely a lot of quality games and experiences in this sale. Personally, I've been playing Nock almost exclusively since it released in March.

It's great if you want a workout without a subscription model. I used it 3 times a week for a few months and always enjoyed it (and burned a lot of calories according to my Garmin watch).

It's by far the title I used the quest 2 most for.

You honestly get sore.. Especially if you do the high intensity ones.

Definitely helps with weight loss.

My vote goes to Eleven VR Table Tennis and Walkabout Mini Golf. Both of these are so addictive, that you can lose countless hours. Great prices on them as well.

The Quest 2 has never actually gone on sale. The best was last November when there was an up to $75 gift card (I think) at various retailers (e.g., if you bought on Amazon you received a $75 Amazon credit for future orders). In addition, you can receive a $35 referral credit to use for games/apps in the Oculus store (if you use a referral link prior to activating the headset). The actual device price stays constant at $399.

As far as I see, the sales on these are pretty infrequent and very light in terms of savings, maybe like 50 bucks. It's partly because Quest 2 is already a budget option and Meta isn't making much money on the hardware end, but on the software side of things. Once the new headset comes out probably in 2023, you should see significantly lower price.

But for what it's worth, the asking price on these is reasonable and totally worth it. I remember having Quest 1 and being totally underwhelmed so i just sold it off within months of purchase. Quest 2 is a different beast, has a much more expansive and immersive ecosystem. it's a game-changer that's totally worth it imo.

I have a 30% off promo code but can’t use it on titles that are on sale, I hate when they give me these codes at the same time as sales. Some of the titles can be had on steam for much less, especially games you’ll only play through once, it’s worth the “hassle” of connecting to a pc.

If you’re a Rick and morty fan then I highly recommend trover saves the universe.

I second walkabout mini golf, the environments are lovely to look at.

yeah, the skill level and competition are insane. But you learn and grow quickly, so it's very enjoyable. Love that you can just play a quick game for 5 minutes or play many for a lot longer. Also, love the different styles that players present, you really have to adapt.

The only bad thing is the 10-20% of dicks that make you turn off the mic (you still have to put up with their stupid gestures). Also, sometimes I find the ball physics act up (as if the ball becomes more weightless and flies differently) and there is a bit of lag issue. But overall, it's such an addictive, great game

Going to pick up Les Milles based on some recommendations here, and needing to replace Supernatural's subscription fees.
Highly recommend Eleven VR Table Tennis even if you only have a passing interest in table tennis (like I did). Hundreds of matches later it's my go-to VR game as it's super fun and also decent exercise.
Walkabout Mini golf is the best mini golf game ever made period, emulates playing mini golf perfectly in really well done environments with a ton of variety. Only thing is it's more fun to play with friends, but still a good time otherwise.

Can't figure out Eleven VR. The game starts with the table parallel to my forehead and I can't do squat

Use the code after the promo. At the moment Resident Evil is "on sale" @ 10% off.

You can adjust the table height in the settings.

I have a bunch of VR games, but I spend most of my time playing Eleven VR Table Tennis. It has even improved my actual game. The support team is quick to respond if you run into any issues.

Best Quest 2 deal currently is the $35 store credit one. Not much but $35 better then the rest.

There's an initial setup where you set the floor height etc., perhaps it didn't go through properly. If you're able to access the settings menu still, you can re-do that setup. I believe it's under table settings or something like that, you can set the floor/table height. Worst case, try reaching out to the developers, they are known for being quite helpful. Best of luck - it's worth getting it working as it's such a great experience in VR.

Really sad that Les Mills does not work on the original Quest. Not going to get a Quest 2 now though. Will wait for next gen.
