Interlock driveway = rubber for sureRedFlag8964 wrote: ↑Thx for the info, how does one decide what type of auger is suitable?
Concrete driveway = rubber probably
Better power in breaking up packed snow = metal auger

I have an asphalt driveway but the edges on either side have interlock. I just had new interlock put in - don't imagine this will be a problem with the steel auger will it?Jucius Maximus wrote: ↑ Interlock driveway = rubber for sure

Tbh I'd get the rubber version rather than risking catching on any interlock and damaging the work.

Too late as I already own the metal auger version. Is it possible to swap out the augers?Jucius Maximus wrote: ↑ Tbh I'd get the rubber version rather than risking catching on any interlock and damaging the work.

I wouldn't worry about it, the steel auger has a higher clearance than the rubber auger and I have interlock on the right side of my driveway. Unless your interlock is extremely unlevel, you shouldn't be using a snow blower at all. You'll be thankful you got the steel auger when you encounter an icy snowbank.

Ego is like Apple: When it's too old, buy a whole new one, and sell or trash the old one.canswim wrote: ↑Has anyone had any luck finding a deal on replacement EGO batteries? Replacing my 5 AH from my mower will cost $380 plus tax. Thankfully I have the 2.5AH to use temporarily - but it's not a long-term solution as I'll need 3-4 charges to get through my lawn. The battery is 5 years old so I guess that's the lifespan? love the ego system - but it sucks to have to fork over that kind of $ every 5 years

I got the 3-in-1 model and mulching with it has been fine.Jagstyles wrote: ↑ Can anyone comment on whether a mulching blade is required? I'm debating between two models of the EGO Mower, one is the Select+ which comes with the 3 blade options. The other is just a regular EGO Mower with just the single blade but does say it's a 3 in 1 (mulch, bag, side chute). Any recommendations/suggestions?

When my ego lawn mower battery started to die early, I bought an ego snow blower that came with two batteries.canswim wrote: ↑Has anyone had any luck finding a deal on replacement EGO batteries? From what I’ve seen in the thread, no. Only when it was discontinued at Home Depot there was some deals.

Lowes has a coupon when you add the mower, for example if I add the $1149 LM2156SP, I get a coupon at the top for $75 off. I think that’s your best bet for a discount. And any sign up $ off offers from lowes
