The power came on for about 30 seconds in my condo and now its gone again. Does that mean hydro is working on this area? Or was that just a power fart.

Lol ok that's good. I knew it wasn't going to be too long. Keep those flashlights in handy in case we get hit again. Our climate seemed to be getting all messed up lol

Just looking at the map of incidents, I just know that the number of people without power is enormous, thousands in all parts of the city. I was convinced yesterday that not many people would be left with no power by the time we entered the deep freeze, but this is starting to look like a much worse disaster. There is not much of an overall big change in the number of incidents since easrly yesterday morning, but more just a fluctuation in the location and number of new and existing incidents. This is indeed going to take long. Say goodbye to the 72 hour thing they said. That no longer applies as I see now. geez! and I though 72 hours was bad.

Yeah! 250,000 people, many elderly and children, shivering in the cold, who cares! Doesn't sound like an emergency to me, I've got power an played Killzone all day!
Sarcasm aside, if you had driven through Scarborough yesterday like I did, you would probaly think it's an emergency too. With that said, I think the worst has passed, it sounds like power will be back up soon. It's a good thing the freezing rain didn't last longer or it could have been much worse.
The amount of people seriously affected by this (my brother's family included who STILL don't have power), was huge. Hundreds of thousands in sub zero temperatures sounds like an emergency to me personally.

Many get amazed by how much thicker the ice can get compared to the actual branches it is wrapped on. Especially with thinner bushes and trees.Premium wrote: ↑Nah, they actually made me wait because they want to pack their stuff. I am so kind, right? I gave them like 2 hours to do it
