Minus 3. Not bad. It felt much colder last year. Maybe I'm getting younger.

Last year, this thread did not start picking up till this far into December. So it seems like the winter height of weather thread activity is a whole month ahead of schedule! Gonna be a long winter this year ;) I hope something epic happens again ;)

Well it could ease for some time in the near future, but now that it has already got going, we can declare a super long winter has begun!

EDIT: every day next week withing the forecast period has snow in it! There is a chance that at least one of them becomes a truly measuable snowfall in Toronto. We will have to see how it goes.

No worries. None of this should be too much this time. BUT, lake effect snow can cause surprises. It can be locally heavy and you will have it for the Santa Claus parade. We have yet to see how heavy lake effect snow will get in Toronto.

Hmmmm. Every model seems to be showing a warming trend starting around Nov 22. NOAA is showing seasonal temps while the long range models show above normal. GFS shows a return to above freezing conditions with a lack of snow then as well. Whether it will be above normal or seasonal, looks like by then we can expect a major shift away from the current cold wintery setup.
