Old Roomba not Charging 655 MOdel

Hi,

Anybody have had this occurred. I've had this unit for a while but left it uncharged for two years. Attached is the video of what it is doing now. Any clues? I cleaned the unit and the contacts.

Worth getting a new battery if that is the answer?

Uncharged batteries die. Does the label state what type of battery it is? Might be tricks t trying to revive it.

Did you clean the contacts with a Magic Eraser?

My Roomba (different model and not packed away for 2 years) stopped charging, I'd already cleaned them with a microfiber cloth, the manufacturer said to use "melamine foam" and it worked.

You can get a third party replacement battery on Amazon for around $30. It's worth a shot. This one seems to be most popular: https://www.amazon.ca/Powerextra-3800mA ... 01E0ZSR8W/
Nobody cares which companies you use/subscribe to on a monthly basis unless there is a deal to be had. Why advertise for them in your forum signature?

If it worked fine the last time you used it two years ago, there's a 95% chance you just need a new battery. I use my 600 series Roomba once per week and need to get a new aftermarket battery from Amazon about every two to three years.

Nope didn't know of this trick. I can certainly try that. I did clean it with microfiber cloth / scrubbed. a bit of water.

Sweet. Although the 1 star reviews state QC issues that it's less than advertised - shitty battery. Might have to do OEM.... but that is also a bit on the pricier side.
