OLG.ca no longer accepting TD Visa Debit -- Same for anyone else?

As the title says, I received a new TD Visa Debit card a few months back (old one reached the expiry date), and went to use the new one for the first time on OLG.ca and it was denied. Talking to OLG.ca, they stated their logs show it was denied/declined due to the transaction use/type.

I know TD doesn't allow their regular Visas on that site/for gambling, but I'm a bit shocked my Visa Debit doesn't work. Has anyone else with a newer card (replaced since September or so) noticed the same? Likely calling them later, given this was my only way to fund that site (no one else seems to have Visa Debit and no one supports Interac Online anymore), and it made it easy to buy Lottomax or 649 when the jackpots were why or there were subscription promos.

I thought TD Canada Trust was one of the few banks to support Interac Online. Did you give it a shot?

It seems STACK stopped working on olg.ca as well.

Out here ALC still accepts Stack, as well as bill-pay, interac online, vouchers from lotto retailers, and paypal. You guys are behind the times in the centre of the universe.

You can only use Interac Online if you have one of the old TD debit cards without Visa Debit capability. There's some kind of rule preventing debit cards from being part of more than one online payment system.

Also it wouldn't do any good. When I contacted TD about my debit card not working on OLG they said that their cards no longer support gambling transactions.

Looking around for answers as I was trying to deposit money into my play olg account with my new TD access card and found this.

https://td.intelliresponse.com/cbaw/ind ... ccess+Card

Looks like its some sort of code of conduct that is limiting TD from offering both interac online (I believe this is what is needed to make deposit into play OLG account) and visa debit.

I use TD visa debit and have this entire time even after getting a new card. It has always worked with playolg.ca. no issues at all. Might be a fraud protection on your account blocking it.

I called TD yesterday and they checked that and it was not the issue.

I can’t get an answer anywhere .

I use my TD debit visa card for OLG.ca all the time, no issues. However I do know someone who has issues with their card and it was due to the fraud department blocking the transaction.

Sorry I thought I had replied back to this months ago. The issue was I had not used the debit card for any in person transactions, according to TD. Sure enough, I bought a coffee and when I got back to the office I tried again and all worked perfectly on the OLG site.

Also to add, I just got the Tangerine Visa Debit, and that one worked on OLG without having to do anything with the card physically first (I just simply activated it online first).

Hope this potentially helps others.

How did you add the tangerine card? In the Debit/Credit section?
My TD no longer works either after getting their new card and I just received the new Tangerine card.
Thanks.

Mine says invalid card number on OLG.
Even I add the card to Amazon, it still says invalid card number.
That was a TD visa debit issued from the branch. I chatted with TD and they said no problem they can see from their side and asked me to enter the exact same billing address.
Sometime later I will try to request a new card online.

Does anyone have a list of credit cards that actually work on OLG online?
It's as if they don't want you to play the lottery online. During these covid lockdowns the last thing I want to do is have to go to the local store to buy a ticket when there was a perfectly good online system that used to work without a hitch before they updated it.
I've tried asking them in chat but have been on hold for so long without a response that I've given up each and every time.

My Rogers World Elite card used to work as did my RBC Visa; now both have been declined. A Desjardins World Elite and a PC Financial World Elite also don't work. My credit rating is excellent so I know the issue isn't my end.
