VISA debit cards work if you put it in through the same way as a credit card. Interac Online only works for like 2 banks.

Captain of our work group so why not...

I was asked for proof though. Which takes 2-3.

Yep I got charged a $3.50 cash advance fee using my TD visa. Lesson learned.

Crappy - Created an account and based on the comments did not want to use a CC.

The only Interac allowed is TD or RBC!! I'm with Simplii so can't even load the funds.. ridiculous.

And this is why I don't recommend buying lottery tickets through the OLG website. What's even more stupid is that you can buy an OLG gift card (like at Costco) but then you can't redeem it online, it can only be used at a physical retail location. smh

I'm also captain of my work lotto group. I wish OLG made it easier to buy online. One could avoid this cash advance hassle if they would allow us to use their own gift card online.

6. WHERE CAN LOTTERY GIFT CARDS BE REDEEMED?
Lottery gift cards can be redeemed at any lottery retailer. They can not be used to purchase lottery products on PlayOLG.ca.

Expiry on that page shows January 31, 2020. Going to Promotions and then entering the code on the Special Promotions page also does not except it. And there is no “PlayOLG Welcome Lottery Bonus Offer" shown on my Promotions page. Also tried entering the code when purchasing tickets and it was not accepted. Smiling Face With Horns

my TD visa did not get charged cash advance but my wife's RBC WestJet mc was charged $3.50

My $10 bonus is stuck in bonus $10 and has not moved over to $10 cash even though I spent the $15 (not in one purchase but over 2).

Yup. Just saw the charge on my TD Visa. How do I pay the fee off now to avoid interest?

Stack MC used to be a great no-fee option to buy lotteries on OLG.ca but it does not work anymore. I used Stack myself many times last year on OLG.ca but one day few months ago it suddenly stopped working. I contacted OLG to ask why and they said they don't accept prepaid CC anymore.

It takes a while for the charges to show up on TD.

Worked right away for me. Bonus $10 converted immediately and spent it. Thanks. Used a visa debit as suggested.

Any new loopholes around getting charged the cash advance fee and the Equifax thingy? Or do I have to physically get to a store for my lottery purchase?

Yes it automatically will give you a ticket for the next draw. There is no option of "holding off" for a later draw.

Anyone having trouble trying to load with a visa? Website keeps kicking me out. I tried to do interac too with my TD account but it says that I don't have any applicable cards despite my TD visa debit literally has an interact symbol on it.
