are these shipped from china, which will take ages to come. I once bought some cheap flashlight (not this one), turned out in my mailbox after like 2 or 3 months later when i totally forgot about it.
No Olight Is a legit flashlight company in the US.

Just checked my paypal account and there was no extra charge there.
I didn't go through paypal, just credit card, but got an email from CC company (Scotia) saying there was a $1.31 charge from MARK PayPal. Not sure what that was about. I logged onto Scotia and only saw the $4.99 charge. Oh well.

Just ordered too. Got a notification of the $4.99 charge, but at the same time also go dinged for $1.31 from MARK PAYPAL PPPL. Did anyone else get this?
That's a pre-auth charge

The Chinese account name showed up on my Paypal transaction actually reads "OLight" in Chinese, probably a direct charge from the manufacturer, seems pretty legit :) thx OP

Thanks OP, website seems legit, hope it's not a phishing scam.
It's not, this is Olights legitimate Canadian website.

If it's anything remotely bright, it will be dead in minutes, just keep in mind of its limitation.

A long time ago before everyone had cellphone, a EDC flashlight may make sense but all phones have LEDs nowadays...

I'll rather get a rechargeable lithium-ion flashlight, higher max brightness and last longer

No Bum Deals
They are still making money selling for $5 shipped. These cost pennies to make.
No way worth 17 bucks.

1xAAA battery? Ouch. Won't last long.

Not a good deal IMO.

No I did not downvote this!
