Wow. Bubble tea cost so much nowadays.
I remember it used to be $1.99 normal price.
Cutting on bbt definitely save a lot of money.
If I buy something that is not in deep discounted, my father will punish me; everyone will laugh at me. I will be the strange kid who doesn't fit in.

Yonge/Gerrard wasn't bad yesterday. I was in and out in under 15 minutes. The only reason it took that long is because one guy ordered 8 drinks with customizations.

nope I didnt use it a hyperbole way.

Longest process author uses is boiling tapioca for 5 minutes.you can do the tea while Tapioca is boiling , so after that its just putting Tapioca in Tea and putting ice in it. = ready in 5 minutes.

and YES anywhere if you plan ahead. Carry the prepared tapioca with you , and anywhere you can get tea, you have bubble tea!

No Idea why Author used 2:10 as time required. I saw that too. It must have the time taken to write the article.
If you have to boil the tapioca for 5 minutes, don't you need to account for time to bring the pot to boil as well? (Bringing this to cook time of 10 minutes, not considering prep and cleaning time?).

I am not sure if how many people really know this, but originally from Taiwan, tapioca was designed for poor people to fill the stomach. Now, it becomes an high end décor for the drink that most people don't finish.

Maybe I'm an oddball (actually, I'm sure of that Ha ha), but I like the tapioca.
Unless it sucks (too gooey or frozen), I always finish my drink. Never just decor for me.
Then again, I like tapioca pudding too. It's partly texture.

The big franchise bubble tea shops were never $1.99 regular price, more like $3.99 - $4.50. There were mom and pop/independent bubble tea shops that sold them for $1.99 though.
