A strange yet intriguing occurrence happened today while I was in the Stoney Creek Costco....they happen to have a few appliances (washer/dryer) which are listed with having the 25% gov't rebate!! I didn't take a picture....thought about it after the fact...but this could be quite a lucrative option provided you're able to pick up the items and they're doing the same in your neighborhood (i.e. suburbs) warehouse but as with everything YMMV

We stopped in at the Lowe's in Etobicoke on the way home to get a closer eye on the LG 3800 pair and hemmed/hawed about them as the dryer is apparently out of stock until at least the end of the month, AND the cheeky bastard we were talking to was quick to suggest we go with a Samsung as there's plenty in stock and they're running a 'free delivery' option for those but i'm not too keen on their models as I've heard horror stories and prefer a more reliable product. That said, we also live in a condo so now that I've seen the units in person i'm not 100% sure they'll stack and fit in the 'closet' where our current laundry center is located...
It’ll fit!... remove the doors and measure and if it’s 27.5” and wider then you’re good!.. Just bought for our condo

Smoking. My HD told me I couldn't get the free delivery matched. Something about combining with the match and beat.

Totally agree, but in this case the price for laundry pair is approx. $5 cheaper than Lowes, which as far as i'm concerned is better in my pocket than theirs Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes
Last weekend. 15% off at BB, 10% price beat at HD and the rebate. Can't see anything beating that this year.

Seems HD and Lowe's offering free delivery varies from location to location and no doubt salesperson to salesperson....oh the joys of inconsistency between big box stores!!! That said, when i was in the Lowe's in Etobicoke they had a Bosch dishwasher (100 series i think) for $598 -25% AND they're running a 'save the tax' on Bosch until 11 Sept so if you're in need of a decent machine i'd get in on that. Of course you'd likely have to try and piggy-back it with a larger order with free delivery or pick it up yourself to really maximize the savings IMO.

As for the LG 3800 combo, i'm of the opinion that purchasing through Costco is the way forward as it combines all of the best features of the deal including free delivery, install, haul away, and you can do it from the comfort of your home without having to worry about things being on back order. Of course it also comes down to your budget and whether you're concerned about trying to squeeze a further 10% out of the likes of HD by trying to find a price match/beat but that seems to be a case of YMMV.

Return them and rebuy them but Leon's are a VERY NASTY company.
I was able to get 62.00 back since my original deal was pretty good as well. No fuss from Leons. Their head office were actually pretty proactive, adding the discounts to all open orders.

Same. But the price was still good with BB match and beat so I didn't complain too much about $60.

Does anyone know if the 25% rebate is based on the original selling price or after price matching price?

Scroll down on the product page and you'll see the Gov.of.Canada rebate logo and a link to add another item code. Add that item to your cart and it will apply the rebate.
Not seeing this on any dishwashers I am looking at. Could you do a screen shot?

EDIT: scratch that - didn't read all the posts and thought it was Lowes.
