The same questions keep getting asked. The answers are in the thread. Use the search function.

For the Costco question: there is an item code (link is on the same product page) and you need to add that to your shopping cart and the rebate will be applied (assuming you are a resident of & shipping in Ontario).

This will be the last time I or anyone else should answer these same questions. Or read the OP on page one for other questions.

10% off is cold, 50% off is warm, 75% off is hot, but FREE IS RFD!

Burlington
If anyone was interested, Costco Burlington has a Samsung washer in-store for $449.99. The matching dryer did not have the rebate. No delivery.

Saw the same one in Stoney Creek earlier this week which had my head buzzing, and then sure enough later that same day they seemed to be offering the rebate online as well....still the only retailer doing so AFAIK

Friends don't let friends buy Samsung major appliances. TVs are amazing, smart phones are great, but not the appliances.

Saw it at Richmond Hill as well, but yes I wouldn't recommend Samsung for washer/dryer.

This is the last time! Use the search function or read the thread summary.

It's a rebate NOT a discount.

Tax is applied first. Rebate is given after tax is applied.

Rebate is based upon the subtotal.

Example:
Unit $1000
Rebate 25% = $250
Tax on the $1000 = $130

You pay: $1130 - 250 = $880

Thanks. I did see posts about it, but i also saw some posts of people getting the 25% off the after tax price, so was just curious if it was like a 50/50 split depending on rep/location or those few just got lucky.

Some may be confused by their own math but it isn't actually what's shown on their bill. (the likelihood)

Anyone who is lucky enough to have been given the rebate before taxes is just lucky and the store will find the reimbursement cheque they get from the Government will be less than what they applied for because they applied the rebate wrong. I'm sure it has been cleared up by now as I'm sure Head Offices would have told their retail stores on how to properly apply the rebate.

im assuming they can still replace a tank even though the basement is finished with a tankless?
