Is Ontario still randomly testing people when arriving back in Canada, with forced quarantine?

Hi there.. been wanting to go on vacation but it won't work with my schedule if I'm forced to quarantine until test results come in when home..has the government changed this yet?

Double vax + booster.

The federal government (not Ontario) is still doing random testing when arriving back in Canada, but the mandatory quarantine until results are returned is no longer in place.

You no longer have to quarantine while waiting for test results.

Oh wow, that's great news! Is there any link or source I can read about this? Struggling to find it.

Also important to point out that if the OP tested positive abroad they could not board an aircraft for 14 days or until they test negative.

So what happens if a Canadian citizen test positive and want to return via land border? The travel site says you may be fined up to $5000? So one just pay $5000 and cross?

Returned from US last night, seems the amount of testing by PHAC has been significantly reduced, but they are still there.
