Book a dental cleaning & exam @ a new dentist in Toronto with Opencare & get free Apple AirPods ($250)

Deal Link:
Retailer:
Opencare
Opencare is giving out AirPods to new patients that set up an appointment for a dental cleaning and exam with their handpicked dentist on their site. It's either the original AirPods (not the Pros) or $250 if they run out of units. Got it via an email @ 11am this morning. Not sure if it's a unique link but should work for everyone.

Only works in GTA, Hamilton, Kitchner and a few other places from what I got from here: https://www.opencare.com/support/?q=where-can-i-claim

EDIT 1: To clarify on who qualifies for the offer (from FAQ page) to summarize:
  • You must be 18 years of age or older
  • You must book a new patient exam and cleaning (will range from $400-$500 w/ x-rays, insurance will usually cover 80% but check yourself if you want to be sure) - from users @stallion86 & @andro
  • You have not claimed a gift card from Opencare in the past, nor have you visited the Opencare dental office prior to your appointment.
EDIT 2: It's still up and promo code is still applying (as of Feb 20th).

I definitely don’t need one, so I’ll do the right thing and pick one up on my way home. 😎

**Just pick one and don't loot** 😠

How many units do they have? I'd just want the $250 instead of airpods...

Tried once end of last year, all good, got my gift card. Aside from the constant texts and emails, all good.
Stay strong, situation always looks harder and that it will never end when you are in the middle of it, but remember past experiences, everything has an ending.

I booked mine near the end of the last promotion they did and just got a $250 Visa gift card. I used it to buy an apple watch instead - you can ask them to switch it if you want. They accomodated for me when I emailed them. A bit slow but they got back

It was a hassle free experience.
Booked a good dentist based through open care. Completed my new patient dental exam with xray.
Submitted receipt to Open care last night and got the $250 Gift card today in email.

Pretty much exactly my experience w/ them about 1 year ago. Hassle-free experience! But agree with others about barrage of emails / texts about new promos. But doesn't bother me.

It literally says new patients in the description. You tried to play and you lost .

You expect them to give you $250 every year just for coming?

Move along.

My friends and I got Visa. It doesn't really matter since visa works pretty much anywhere (my friend bought airpods from the Apple store).

Just know that you get it via email so it's an e-gift card. If you get the physical version, it'll cost $3 to mail it to yourself.

That sounds insanely expensive. No wonder they're giving away "free" stuff. I pay $100 out-of-pocket, without x-rays ($30).

That's insanely cheap, what type if cleaning is it? I've never heard of a dentist even close to that.

Jesus that's expensive. Mine was like $200 max... Guess that's how they're able to give out $250 gift cards.

You know your insurance still has a yearly cap, right? Mine is $1500, and it's one of the better plans. So you've just burned 1/3 of your dental coverage for the year by switching dentists.

This attitude of "insurance covers it, so I don't care about prices" just allows dentists to jack up their prices as much as they want, which we all pay for in higher insurance premiums. It's still to everyone's benefit to shop around.

Okay, that changes things a bit. But now you're stuck with this expensive dentist going forward, unless your next dentist doesn't insist on another new patient exam (which btw are usually only covered every 2 years).
