Options for TV/Internet/Phone + Indian Channels

I am feeling so overwhelmed with ALL the different options out there with regards to online streaming, VOIP calling, unltd internet etc.

All I want to do is cancel my service with BELL that costs me over $250.00 every month for BASIC home phone (no call waiting/no caller id), unlimited internet (FIBE i think) and basic channels (I pay additional for Food Network, HGTV, and some of the Indian channels...sony, B4U and some others I don't remember.

I'm confused by all the reviews for internet/phone bundles from places like COMWAVE, TEKSAVVY, PRIMUS, ROGERS etc.

This is what I am looking for help with:

Where can I get the best unlimited internet plan? I don't upload much. Mostly watch movies on youtube or use my appletv to access movies on the itunes store (rarely). I had Netflix not for the tv shows but more for the movies. So definitely need the unlimited useage option

Where can I get the best home phone service with basic features like call waiting, call display and voicemail?

For TV, I've read about HULU and ROKU and YUPPTV (mostly for Hindi/Bollywood content) I'm not tech savvy and don't know enough about accessing or manipulating my system to access US content and it seems the US content is what makes the above options worth it.

Can anyone here point me in a direction that helps narrow down my choices?

I was in a very similar situation as you before, but did not nearly pay as much as you are. Over the past few months I have switched as follows:
  • Unlimited internet with Fido for $60/month, 60/10.
  • Changed home phone to Ooma basic, $4/month - purchased hardware from Costco (about $100). This was actually done a few years ago, and am very satisfied with the service.
  • Because of unlimited internet, I do most of my TV watching using my Apple TV and various apps. I do have some subscription channels with Apple TV, like Treehouse and Netflix. For Indian channels we are using Eros Now, haven't tried YUPPTV yet though.

Very interesting, never seen YUPPTV or Eros Now before. My parents would be interested. Right now I got them setup on Kodi with some addons like Zem TV and TV Desi Zone.

Take a look at the main Bell thread.
