I have the same problem with ch 41, ch57 and some other channels yesterday too. It is ok to-day. Maybe of the heavy wet snow we were getting.
I notice with ch 57 for the last few weeks I have been getting a very weak signal to a point not watchable.

I am ok with those channels. May be the wind knocks the antenna direction off. Rescan.

If in Montreal then 3.1 WPTZ changed frequency back in November and then a major fire at their tower in December rendered 3.1, 5.1 and 31.1 with a weak replacement tower.

I had to slightly move the antenna wire to get the channels back.

I fluctuate between 35 and 70 channels depending on the conditions. Sometimes go as low as 20.

OTA TV has so many variables and things that can impact it which are changing daily.

The recent-ish channel reorg (to free up spectrum for new wireless services) has increased the number of channels I can receive. Thanks FCC/ISED!

That is weird, what kind of coax cables are you using 60% or 92% braiding ?

Its a 20ft cable that came with the antenna, this is a indoor flat antenna that has worked well for the past 2 years.

The cable is not supposed to be removable but i do see some screws on the antenna so maybe i need to try thinker cable?

Oh no wonder, those are fairly cheap thin stranded wires can't even call them a cable.
If need an indoor antenna get an outdoor antenna instead as they cost more or less than those silly indoor flat antennas and if size is a problem then get a small yaghi style antenna instead like a Channel Master CM4040.

I've looked at those, but man are they ugly. I like the flat antenna coz it it's white and blends well with the wall. It high up on the bedroom wall almost touching the ceiling.

So i don't want a big fat black antenna on the wall, its just looks really stupid. I've been meaning to try the same antenna as video, on a stand to see if that would work as to avoid mounting it so high up.

The final plan is to hire someone to shove it in the attic and run a coax line to the basement, but this solution has worked well for 2 years.

Go for an outdoor antenna if you can. A little up front work to get the original cable run in, but once that is done, you will have far better results.

Before my Tablo, which is on top of the basement freezer beside where antenna line comes in, I had a distribution splitter running to the bedrooms using my existing cable runs.

I'm in Oakville and I think 57-1 is no longer broadcasting. It looks like they want you to use their app. But to watch older episodes you still need to have CityTV from a cable provider.
Global (41-1) has been in and out lately so it makes me wonder if they are moving in the same direction.

I did a rescan 2 weeks ago and nothing changed with those 2 channels.

No, they are still broadcasting. I think they have moved to their backup transmitter (first cdn place?) in preparation so that the main transmitters (CN tower) can be upgraded for the next channel repack.

City-tv is going to move from rf ch 44 to 18. Global is going to move from rf 41 to 17

I think it has to be completed before around July 2020

I used to get fairly stable reception of the CBS Buffalo and CW.

Recently both are gone. However, NBC and ABC Buffalo seems to be much more stable than before.

Richmond Hill area.

was hoping to upgrade to an outdoor antenna hoping that would help get these channels back, but it looks like I should wait till after July 2020 before commit further.

Jon, I am using an outdoor antenna on the roof for over 25 years. I think with all these high rises popping up, OTA is only going to get worse.
