Outdoor Camera - wiring help needed

Hello all,

I've been wanting to invest in a decent outdoor camera, found one on Amazon 'Nooie 1080p outdoor camera'. Works great so far but I am stumped on what I should do to plug it in. On my front porch the far corner has a post I can mount it to, and I have an outlet in the soffit. I was thinking of plugging it there, but the amazon listing mentions the usb adapter isn't suited for outdoor. So I am stuck on how to wire this thing properly. Do I have to run the cable back inside? Do I just run the wire through the soffit and out and into the outlet?

This is the camera here:

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Also - If I can just plug it into the soffit outlet - has anyone run a line to an outlet inside the soffit, so it's hidden from anyone/elements? I feel like it would look a lot cleaner.
