Recall on Pantene, Old Spice and Herbal Essences products (claim up to $110 in product coupons-no receipts required)

Retailer:
P&G
Recall on Pantene, Herbal Essences, Old Spice due to the presence of Benzene. Was announced in late December 2021. https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/p-g-recal ... -1.5713973

Complete and submit the online form.
No proof of purchase needed unless you are claiming more than 6 products.
Reimbursement should arrive in 6 weeks

In order to claim 5 products for Pantene, you need to submit a claim for 3 and then 2. You will get a case reference number after doing so for each.

Repeat the process for Old Spice and Herbal Essences

Value of the coupons, Pantene $8, Old Spice $7 and Herbal Essences $7.

I intend to use 3 or 4 of these coupons at SDM when they have 20X offer.

Points offer probably works the best, i.e. buy one Pantene product and get x points.

20x wouldn't be too helpful as it's 20x on the final out of pocket amount before tax. Using coupons and PC points will lower your final out of pocket amount. If you ended up with 0$ out of pocket, then you get no points even if it's 20x.

This was a voluntary recall.

Hope this does not get abused.

In the past I would have taken advantage of this regardless if I used these products or not.

Perhaps just getting old, but doing the right thing is more and more important to me.

Not trying to preach, each his own, but I can sleep better at night when feel I am not contributing to the problem
and maybe helping make this world a better place in little things we do and say.

Wow.. you bought a lot of Pantene, Old Spice and Herbal Essences products in such a short period (that covers the recalled lots)... Were you donating to a shelter or something? Or actually using all of these aerosol spray products in your home?

Benzene is a chemical compound released to the environment by both natural and industrial sources. It is classified as a human carcinogen, a substance that could potentially cause cancer depending on the level and extent of exposure.
Interesting I used this product and now have Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) / Essential Thrombocythemia which is a rare form of blood cancer "Essential thrombocythemia (e-SEN-chel throm-boe-sigh-THEE-me-uh), or ET, is a rare, chronic blood cancer in which a person’s bone marrow makes too many platelets. Bone marrow is a spongy tissue inside of the bone, and is the primary place where blood cells are made." one of the main causes of this cancer is Benzene

They recalled “voluntarily” because they had no other choice.

Oh, so you support greedy, global conglomerates that only care about profits?

Daily exposure to the level of benzene detected would not be expected to cause adverse health consequences and we are conducting this recall out of an abundance of caution.
Yeah right. We definitely have to trust profit-first corps. lol.

Thanks OP, not interested in coupons to buy more carcinogens but good to know the old spice we have been using is spiked with this stuff.

(I know every thing around us gives us cancer, but that doesn’t mean you just bend over and let them pump even more of this stuff into us by cutting corners and trying to make things right before their bottom line is potentially affected)
