P20 Pro vs S9+

I have 90 minutes to decide which phone to get

P20 Pro is $0 S9+ is $129

I'm leaning S9+ because of the headphone jack... but the Camera is the most important aspect of a phone to me, so I'm struggling to not go P20 Pro

Help me decide lol!

If battery life is important I'd go with P20 Pro.

IDK it could've been just my unit but it was a complaint over at android central. Reason why I sold it.

I guess you have decided since 90 minutes have passed. LOL

I actually asked Rogers to call me back in a couple hours so I could have more time to decide.

The HDR screen on the s9+ is something I love.... But I really dislike the lightbleed from the curves(something that plagued the s8/s8+ and doesn't seem to have improved on the s9)

It shouldn't be this hard to pick a phone. If the p2) had a headphone jack it would be an easy choice.

guess I wouldn't know a bleed if I saw it, I am perfectly happy with my S9+. Cam and video are amazing, no battery issues. I am an audiophileish, and the jack is a must have...huge deal breaker and I don't think there is much difference with the cameras on either..

i had this debate with myself..personally decided to wait for the s10

id choose the p20 pro if you had to go with one

things samsung has:
samsung pay/mst
screen

p20pro
night time shots are insane 1-2 gen ahead
great battery life
fp on the front
unique

p20 cons
UI
selfie mode a little washed out

Welp... I originally went with an s9+ this afternoon... Was going to switch to the p20 but by time they called me back my order has already been sent to the warehouse.

Oh well. I'm sure I'll like the s9 anyways since I've previously owned the s-s8

the problem with the p20 pro is, it uses an old generation chip doesn't even compared to the 845 in performance and they are asking a premium

Will most people even notice? Probably not, unless they're gaming. The P20 Pro is awesome at photography, and that's pretty much who it's targeted towards.

I'm in the same boat but I think I might be leaning towards the s9+. I do like the camera on the p20 pro. I've never owned a huawei phone so I'm not too sure how their android skin works

+1 crazy camera especially at night, was having trouble in low light with my Iphone 8 plus.

I went with the P20 Pro as not too fond of curved displays such as Samsung's... Owning the GS7 Edge brought that to light. Pretty impressed with the P20 Pro so far.
