It would be ideal if it was over-the-range model.

That’s not a good price. Same thing at Costco for under $150 lol

Please note that this is not strictly a Microwave model but it also has a Grill feature in it. I believe you are referring to normal Microwave ovens without a grill feature.

Are these microwave/grill combo appliances actually work well? Looks like a normal microwave, what kinda grill is inside? How does it work?

I can't comment on this specific model, but I do have an older Panasonic microwave/grill (oven) purchased I think 6-7 years ago. As a microwave, it functions as a microwave should. I also use it like a large toaster oven regularly for things like frozen pizza. I have tried the combination cooking (uses both microwave and grill at the same time) on some dishes, such as lasagna or meat loaf and it does seem to come out pretty well. The result is similar to cooking in an oven, but the speed is much faster. You kind of have to experiment a bit though. Mine was quite a bit more expensive and made in Japan though, so I'm not sure if the quality would be the same.

No. I have a Panasonic combination grill it's basically useless I found, gave up on using that function. Also inconvenience for cleaning microwave if things splatter on the grill element on the top

I used one of these before. Does a good job as a microwave, poor job as toaster oven. My philosophy is two one in one things are better than one two in one thing.

If it's done correctly, it should work superb, but the issue is preset/programming...

Eg TurboChef commercial ovens used at like Subway, it's a microwave/convection oven.

Microwaves heats the inside while the convection hot air makes the outside crispy, does this microwave also do convection?

Yea definitely useless. I have a toaster oven now. The unit I have is a full combination mirco oven was approx 700 from Panasonic. It's a expensive microwave lol.
