[Patagonia] Up to 50% Off August 16th-Sept 4th

Got a card in the mail today. Past sales have been decent. Some stuff is already on sale, but I’d expect better deals to begin when the stated sale actually starts August 16th.

Free shipping code reportedly no longer works but it was - 1302FS701

It's in the title that it starts on the 16th. There is always the web special that's there all the time.

OP's post also said there's some stuff on sale already. So this web special you're speaking of, how do i sort by that?

I don't see anything good so far. Just a few pages of last season stuff.

Even at 50% discount, the price still expensive.

Most of their stuff had a life time warranty and it's excellent quality. They are also a socially responsible company if that means anything to you.

I have had one of their jackets for 6 years (worn most days in winter) and it still looks like new, I just need another one more because it's a tad small.

You are correct, this is not a deal for the bargain shopper, but for for that person who values quality over quantity.
Here are some pros regarding Patagonia

1. A lot of their clothing is organic so it will last 3/4x as long as non-organic cotton shirts
2. Free repairs - I've had dozens of zippers repaired over the years, all for free. Also rips that were not necessarily covered, they repaired for free. My oldest Patagonia shell is 30 years old. Still going strong. Their warranty is second to none.
3. They sell merino wool products. If you have ever worn merino wool you will know not only the comfort but the natural wick ability and odor control. 50% off of morino wool long underwear is actually a good deal. These products go fasts/first on these sales so act accordingly. Also in store sales of these can be as high as 75% over the years.
4. They are actually a pretty amazing company to support if you like environmental causes. Not perfect, but a lot better than most companies that put pure profit over anything else.
5. Personally I like most of their designs and fits. Works for me.

Now some cons
1.Don't buy their waterproof stuff if it's not gore-tex. Not even sure if they still make their own brand but it was pretty crappy compared to gore-tex
2. Never was a big fan of their shoes. Tried a couple of pairs but they never did it for me.
3. Some of their sizing is a bit off or tight. So best to go to the store sometimes.

Looks like $15 UPS shipping.

Great if you're trying to buy a lot of stuff, but if you're like me and just want to buy a hat it's not a great deal
