Pay As You Go Recommendations
Hi there, Looking for a cell phone plan where I can get a number and pay by minute. Could anyone please recommend a carrier? Thanks.

7-Eleven SpeakOut has the best pay by minute plan as the credits last 365 days. You can get a number from SpeakOut. Previously you cannot choose a number, unclear if it is available now. The workaround previously is to get a Bell/Virgin prepaid SIM, activate it, choose a number and port to Speakout.

If you're from the province of Quebec, I would probably say Petro Canada Mobility has a decent pay by the minute prepaid plan.
