Never had a single good experience with door dash, with a dozen orders. Nobody I know has, either.

EDIT for context:

They had a promo where you get a free Big Mac and free delivery for any order $1 or more. My household had taken advantage of this deal for 5 different people over the course of those few days.

Each order had a different price. Each person ordered a single donut and a big mac.

First person's order was $1.72.
Next one was $1.82.
Next was $1.98.
Next was $2.24.
Next was $2.50.
Final one was $2.67.

The processing fees just kept getting bigger and bigger across each order despite the orders all having been the same. Not only that, but the day the $2.50 order was placed, the person trying to place the $2.67 order was being told that it is impossible for it to be delivered any time that night. Meanwhile the $2.50 order was being delivered in 10 minutes. Same McDonald's, same order, same delivery address.

What gives? Why were the prices all different? Why was one person unable to have their order delivered to the same address as the other? Why must they wait an entire day? A couple nights prior, 2 of the orders were placed, and the next night, 2 more were placed. I don't understand the issue here.

To add onto the shadiness, DoorDash literally tells its employees to not give the receipt to customers. They do this to mask the actual cost of the food, because they usually overcharge for the food itself and then get it for cheaper anyway by using some internal promos. If you've ever wondered why you never get a receipt with your orders, this is why.



My friends have also had issues with DoorDash specifically. No other food delivery service had messed up their orders, but DoorDash did 100% of the time. My friend ordered two Big Mac meals in the same order about 5 times, without using any promos, and every single time, they only delivered one of the meals. He got refunded for every one of the orders of course, making his 5 meals all free, but the person he ordered the second meal for sure wasn't happy about having to cook for themself or warm up leftovers.

His sister and all of his friends as well have had orders messed up. Every single person from our own friend circles have had issues with DoorDash and have been compensated, except for me, since I couldn't be bothered to call in when my big mac was still cheaper delivered than if I had gotten one myself with a mcd's mobile coupon. We joke that DoorDash is a free lottery where you never know what you'll get, but it will always be free.

Don't think it's mentioned in the terms but does it work on pick-up orders too?

yea I think it just have to be over 25 dollars after the tax

I had a driver come to me asking for pickup. When I told him I was the person who ordered, he ran away and marked the order as delivered lol

How do you use the code? When you pay through PayPal, is there at to add code or does it show up showing -15 when check out?

Also, can you a pick up instead?

It doesn't show up on the order summary, so no way to know for sure beforehand. But charge on paypal shows the discounted price.
