Paypal? Question sending funds in USD

Hi all -

Recently I taken some online drawing classes with someone I found online. It's just 1 on 1 guidance on tips etc.
They suggested they can be paid with Paypal. Are there any other alternatives to send someone USD for Canadians?

You could probably use Wise.com. The person would obviously also need to have a Wise account.

I use a Wise account to transfer USD out of PayPal to my Wise USD account so I don't get hit with PayPal's stupid USD -> CAD conversion fees.
Wise also charges me a fee when I want to send the USD to my CAD bank account, but it's much much lower than PayPal's fees.

I'm another vote for Wise.com. However, the other user doesn't need a wise account. I'd you have their bank account number and other relevant routing information, the money can be deposited into thwie bank account directly. They CAN have an account of course, and you can transfer it to them that way.

Did a transfer recently to Australia and it was deposited in the recipient bank account in about a day after Wise received my payment. PayPal cost would have been much higher...I think I calculated the recipient would have received about 10% less money had I used PayPal or my bank.
