Paytm not letting me redeem earned points

Did anyone else faced trouble redeeming Paytm points? I noticed they no longer allow users to redeem all the available points towards one gift card and that GC choices are now very limited.... I remember using 10k points for a 10$ GC before...

See below:

Recently I got an email saying my points will expire soon so I pinged their customer support and turns out this is due to a new internal “business decision”.. which I found really strange I did not receive any note about this “change”...

This 1$ discount on GCs is ridiculous at least they should allow us users to donate earned points to a charity of choice...

What do you folks think? report to competition bureau or similar?

You couldn’t post this in the PayTM thread?
You had to have known of the threads’ existence since you know of PayTM.
The current points redemption model has been for a long long time, which is why most people have jumped ship from that payments platform.
Good luck using up those points.

Your issue with PayTM is so 2019. It's almost 2021. PayTM is dead. Email them to donate the points to charity and walk away.

Dang, did not know that was an option. I would have done that. I went to look at my account and my 10K of points expired on Dec 14th apparently. Never got notified.

I have not sent a email to close my account.

Has anyone recently been able to close their account? I emailed them twice and no response.

Just leave it since it won’t cost anything to keep it. If you are worrying about your acct info being used by Paytm, they already have.

Yeah, would have preferred that it be "deleted", though who knows if they actually do it or not. I will just leave it and uninstall it.

Paytm ain't dead ... I still use it ... and collect those points as stamp or pin collection of late.

Besides paying credit card bills with it ... I am planning to use Paytm soon to pay my Property Tax with Promo MasterCard ... 2.5% fee would apply .. but MC will pay me bonus ... lol ... you guys know what I am talking about .... :)

Good night :)

I'm still using it too TBH. Pay credit card bills and redeem points for Uber gift cards. A couple extra minutes of work for that 10% return (minus missed credit card reward)
