[PC Optimum] PC Optimum 10K points when spend $20 at RCSS & Esso

Expiry:
July 23, 2025
Retailer:
PC Optimum
More offers from PC Optimum
Load your PC optimum app, spend $20 at Superstore AND Esso/Mobil to complete both tasks and get 10K points ($10).
RFD Summary
📱 This PC Optimum offer is highly targeted, meaning many members did not receive it in their app.

⚠️ Several shoppers reported issues with the offer not tracking points despite meeting the spend requirements at Real Canadian Superstore and Esso/Mobil.

⛽ Members found that redeeming points for a purchase still counted towards the $20 spend requirement.

🏪 One member successfully triggered the Real Canadian Superstore portion of the offer by shopping at an Independent Grocer, suggesting other Loblaw banners might also work.

⏳ Some found the offer expired earlier than the advertised date, leading to frustration when trying to claim missing points.

I have this in the “Maximize your points” row on the offers page of the PCO app but it was a bit hard to see.

That said, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this was a targeted offer.

After fill ups with these promos, unlink your PC account from the Mobil APP

Then you’ll start getting the promos again.

These “personalized offers” seem to me to be more randomized than personalized.

I got the Esso offer. I’ve been driving a BEV since 2019. I get offers for baby items. I’ve never had a baby in the household. I got an offer for IKEA cards. There is no IKEA within four hours of where I live.

I don't think it always works that way. I got this offer last week. Then I get the offer for 7500 for buying $25 gas this week. I didn't unlink after buying last week.

Got this offer on my account and the wife's account. Pretty easy 10k points if you buy groceries at RCSS anyway.

With regular optimum offers (for example spend $2 on cucumber get 200 bonus optimum points), if you are a couple cents short, you still seem to get the bonus points advertised.

Anyone know if the same applies to this offer where one needs to spend $20 at RCSS? So if my sub-total ends up being $19.98, can I still expect to have met the criteria for spend $20 at Superstore?

That's where the challenge exists for me!

Haven't really shopped at RCSS for much... and to reach $20 spend limit is a challenge

Not from my experience with these...

I used to shop at an RCSS a lot so I got the offer. I was surprised when the RCSS part of the offer worked when I shopped yesterday at Independent Grocer. I got the gas and the 10,000 points. YMMV, but it's worth it to try other Loblaw banners for this one.
If I had more time, I would have written a shorter post

Yes, you do get points after $ rounding up. I have experienced with many times with individual item offers.

This is explained on the official website as well
Rounding Rules for PC Optimum™ points earning with all PC Financial® payment products

When calculating the per-dollar PC Optimum™ points earned for making purchases with your PC Financial® payment card, the purchase amount will be rounded down to the nearest full dollar.

When calculating the per-litre PC Optimum™ points earned for making purchases on your PC Financial® payment card at Esso™ and Mobil™ stations, purchases of 0.5 litres or more will be rounded up to the next litre and purchases of 0.49 litres or less will be rounded down, except where specified otherwise in the relevant offer or earn rate.

But have you seen success with THESE offers?

I usually get 10k points for $100 spend but $99.98 DOESN'T trigger the bonus such as these.

So shopping at another store OTHER than stated RCSS and gas earned the bonus?!?

Yes, that's what I'm saying. I had the offer. I did a PC Express order at Independent Grocer and it was for more than $20. When I checked to make sure I got all my points, it said, "100 points When you spend $20 on almost anything in store at Real Canadian Superstore" and I got that 100 points and the first part of the offer was greyed out under my offers too. So I bought $20 worth of gas at the Mobil station and got the 10,000 points. No idea why.

That's nice!

I'm gonna try and find $20 worth of groceries to buy at RCSS just to be sure.
