PCIe 4.0 GPU With 16GB HBM and GTX 1080-Like Performance

There is new GPU development for PCIe 4.0 ... so peripherals are coming ... maybe next year?

I'm sure nVidia and AMD have prototypes already, but not ready to release. Still probably working to optimize PCIe 4.0 capabilities...

Even PCIE 3.0 doesnt come close to maxing out a 2080ti. PCIE 4.0 wont do much at all and right now all I can see it using in the next while is NVME drives...

For video display, you may not need the extra bandwidth, but if you added another Video card and used the GPU for neural network AI, it can change the computer functionality altogether.

GPUs have many Cells and each one can act like your brains neural network... AI - like in self driving cars etc ...

+1 this. All this is about for PCIe 4.0 is for consumers who want to saturate their motherboards with NVMe drives as prices are dropping steadily and storage and speed come into play.

Bitcoin miners can probably find a use for PCIe 4.0 ... after all, they started the video card shortage and they are not even using monitors...
