And yet...

Last year when they ran this promo someone posted a link. I applied even though I was an existing customer. I still got the 10,000 pts. Maybe they check this year but it's worth a try.

Added: Google to the rescue: The easiest 10,000 bonus points you’ll ever earn.
Complete the fields in the form below to let us know your home and/or auto insurance policy renewal dates and you’ll earn 10,000 PC OptimumTM points.
Also, some previous RFD threads:
[PC Insurance (Optimum App) YMMV] Free 10000 Optimum Points for providing your insurance renewal date.
[PC Optimum] 10,000 PC Optimum Points for providing insurance renewal date (targeted, ymmv)
[Loblaws/PC Optimum] 10K ($10) for registering your insurance renewal date (check your app for the offer)

Depends on all the usual insurance underwriting criteria. They're brokers so supposedly they'll find you the best rates.

Keep in mind that 2% CB if you pay with PCF MC is only $20 per $1,000 premium. There's far more variability in rates from insurer to insurer. So it's generally not a good idea to prefer PC Insurance just for the points.

Their customer service varies widely but is generally good.

@leovee1 perhaps you can post the link you got in the email so that those who weren't "targeted" can try their luck.
The link includes your card number and fills in the form but I just deleted part of the link and you are correct, it seems good for all so I'll add it up top. Here it is in case you don't want to scroll back up ;)
