Peel & stick 2mm vinyl sheets for Stairs Risers?

Would like to understand if any pros and cons for this.
Planning to put 6mm vinyl planks for treads and contrast color of peel stick 2mm sheets of vinyl for risers.
Any drawback of this?
Am I missing something?
