V3 or bust. I have both V2 and V3, the quality is night and day (literally). I dont recommened buying these V2's.

Echo the comments about the v3. Only advantage with these aside from price is RTSP support, which should come to V3 eventually. Worth the extra cost.

so v2 is half price when v3 is out,
base on this logic, just wait for v4 to come out and you can guy the better quality v3 cheaper

Depends what you need it for. V2s work fine for basic home needs. Take the discount and get more cams.

If you ARE using it for a pet camera, does this make a difference?!? V2 vs V3?

I just finished watching a 20 minute comparison video and I want it for the same reason. If your dog is not a shit you are OK with a V2. V3 has better indoor light and night quality. Microphone and speaker quality is better as well.

If you wanted a simple camera to make sure your dog is moving around and to see if your house is on fire then V2 is more than enough.

For those recommending the WazeCam 3, keep in mind that it uses a white light flash instead of IR. Your doggo is going to have a white light shining at them at night.

Last time this deal was on for the 2 pack for $50 before the v3 was out I grabbed it and one of the cameras in the 2 pack was a return that had been opened and activated with Wyze but was being sold as brand new. It took their customer service way too long to sort it out that it was not worth it in the end.

The RSTP is decent but you can only manage the camera settings through the Wyze app, there is no web interface or anything.

v3 vs v2 is day and night difference.
I use mine through the window, so I can't have the night vision light on, but it's still plenty bright compared to v2.

Just chipping in.
V3 is much better than V2 as a network camera, yet V3 is missing one function that V2 have:
You can install a custom firmware and using V2 as a USB 1080P webcam, which normally cost much more for the same quality.

My V2s have video distortion after 3 years of on and off indoor use. Their support does not help.
Have new V3s now taking the long term test, hopefully they don't fail like V2s
