I've got this model of the 4300 with the steam wand myself and quite enjoy it. I originally had thought that I would have wanted the LatteGo version but what moved me to the steam wand was some reviewers saying you can get a better foam / more control doing it yourself. To each their own of course.

Not a comment on how hot the deal is, but I've had the 4300 for about a year and it is a great machine. Easy to clean and makes delicious drinks.

More convenient? Yes.

Better? Depends, really. Espresso shots will be subpar to a properly dialed in semi-auto, but that takes time and practice.

Do you want to grind, tamp, tweak, perfect your espresso? Get the bambino or another semi auto.

Do you just want a quick cup of decent coffee every time? Get a fully auto.

Agree with hvc. I have the 3200 because my wife has ZERO interest in any of those manual tasks. And to be honest, sometimes I do as well.

The super automatic makes a very decent, very consistent latte/espresso/Americano. Not the best I've ever had, but light years away from the worst.

And that's a great price. Also? My 3200 had a solenoid go (somewhat common problem, it diverts the water to the steamer rather than the brew group) and despite being out of warranty, Philips set me up with a local espresso machine repair shop for free and got me a loaner for the week it took them to fix it. Not great communicators, but overall very acceptable customer service.

Great value/price, we enjoy our 5400 and son enjoys his 3200, they do what they do decently without manual work, we all like the simplicity overall
How can I be broke when I am saving so much?

My only complaint with the lattego is the milk comes out way too frothy. Loudly Crying Face So I have to swirl it around and let it sit for a few minutes.

Solid deal. Have had the 3200 LatteGo for the last 2.5 years and it has been a staple in our household. Looking to upgrade to the 5xxx series at some point.

I bought one of these couple years ago and returned it.
The cappuccino it makes tastes GREAT, but once you dispense hot water alone, and drink it, it smells absolutely awful. Like a cup of chemicals. And that's in every drink you make, you just can't taste it.

Furthermore, after 3 weeks the whole unit itself started smelling moldy, and that was with daily cleaning.

This thing is VERY plastic-heavy. Plastic reservoir, plastic tubing, plastic dispensers, everything.

What I use now: Baratza Virtuoso grinder, Bodum french press, Hario pour-over dripper (using standard #4 filter trick)

Pff too much technology. When I want a cup of coffee I walk to Columbia, pick the beans, roast them over a self made fire (only rainforest wood is good enough), then take my beans to Hawaii (via canoe of course) to get the best lava rocks to grind my beans with. Then it's off to Iceland (again, canoe) to get the best water. Naturally, it gets boiled in a Incan stone pot over an active volcano. Once the beans have steeped perfectly, I filter it through dodo feathers into my hand carved moon stone mug. Anything less than this tastes too artificial to me.

They seem to have real issues with restocking/shipping. Still waiting on my 4300 Lattego from Amazon since end of January.
