Picking up new ride tonight

Going to pick up Wifey's new ride tonight. It is certainly funny how things like this can snowball.

Somehow, the search that started HERE.... somehow went from a 2005 300C to a long unsuccessful search to a 2011-2014 300C for Me, to a brief stop looking at some 2016-2018 Grand Cherokee Limiteds for Wifey, to signing a deal for a brand new 2020 Grand Cherokee LimitedX model, which we are getting tonight! She has always had a thing for Grand Cherokees. She owned a 2008 years ago, and frankly, I don't think She has ever forgiven me for making Her sell it, so I am happy She is getting another one.

It is black, on black on black LOL, which I think is what really made her want it. The LimitedX seems to be a unique version of the Limited, and I could see it being loved or hated, but we really liked all the blacked-out accents vs the chrome on the standard Limited.

Will post some pics when we get it home!

Congrats... would have been epic, if it continued from a 2020 Cherokee to a Trackhawk.

HA! Wouldn't it though! Unfortunately, she was plenty happy with the V6, and didn't even opt for the 5.7L HEMI.

Love the GC and looked at one myself back in 2014 or so. It took a while for me to warm up to the new face lift but these are excellent. Congrats!

Took the boys for a quick drive before dinner and all of a sudden the sky opened up.... We both looked at each other and said. "do you know how to turn the wipers on!???!!?". Haha.

You're lucky you're not in Alberta, where this year, if the sky opens up, it opens up with hail! Enjoy!

Hopefully less than the advertised "dealer's" price of $56K.

I think that's for the standard limited. The Limited X is a bit more, as it comes with some of the limiteds upgrades standard.

We price match this one ( lowest we could find with the options we wanted) , then negotiated from there.

I don't even know what the OTR was frankly ( wifey is the negotiator in the family), but I do know we extended the bumper to bumper to 5yr/100kms for $1500. That's about all she tells me. Lol.

That's a pretty good discount already. Your wife probably negotiated it down even more. Congrats, badass looking car in that black on black trim. Gotta go for Trackhawk for next one.

Limited X has some SRT kit on it if I'm remembering correctly. Just needs wheel spacers. Good looking vehicle, amazing what FCA has done with decade and some old platforms.

I still haven't seen the bill of sales, but She told me last night, after trading in the 2014 Sentra, the total OTR was $59k, and I think she said at the start they gave her $7k for the Sentra. So, that's likely pretty accurate to where we started.

We also got a couple of Jeep T-shirts and Hats for the boys thrown in and a couple of free oil changes.

The hood heat shield liner literally says "SRT" on it....... Which is cool, but then disaponting in the next step when you look down and see "3.6L V6" on the engine cover. Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes
