Pixel 4a, 5a

I have been waiting for the 5a but it doesn't appear it will be released in Canada.
Does anyone know if the bands would be different? In other words, would the US 5a work fine here?
If not, then I may just go with the 4a.
Very happy with my 3a but giving that one to family.

Apparently the Pixel 4a 5G is discontinued now, if that matters to you.
Deal with it.

Maybe not in Canada if there's no replacement yet.

It's been in and out of stock for awhile now. Funny, no price reductions and down to 2 years of updates.

Wish the 5a was coming to Canada.
No discounts and the used market isn't cheap either.

Me too. I'll remember this for future Pixel purchases. If you don't wanna bring it to Canada then Google can stick it up their you know what for other phones.

Who knows why they decided not to bring the 5a to Canada? Maybe the 4a sold poorly. I certainly don't know anybody that even considered buying it, though myself and a handful of friends bought the 4a 5g as a solid compromise. I'll still happily consider something in the 6 line, especially if it's more of a flagship than a midrange, like the 5 was last year. Though I'm pretty happy with my 4a 5g too.

I also think it's due to the global chip shortage.

Maybe, but I'm not sure Canada's market is so huge that deciding not to sell here will help Google *that* much.
