[Pizza Hut] $5, $5, $5 - Its back (Contactless delivery and take out available)

Just saw this in my app. $5, $5, $5 is back at Pizza Hut. Order any large pizza and receive the 2nd, 3rd or 4th medium for $5 (of equal or lesser value).
Pizza Hut now has contactless delivery and take out.

I called 3 pizza huts last week about their "contactless" pickup and how it works. The employees had no clue what what I was talking about for all 3 stores. They said it's only for delivery.

Domino's has contactless curbside pickup as well where they drop the pizza off on the hood of your car when you arrive according to the website. But if you call dominos, they have no clue about the procedure.

It seems to me all these companies are merely using "contactless" as a marketing term with no changes actually implemented.

I've had the opposite. We ordered a few times from Pizza Hut and Toppers. They leave the stuff on the deck and leave.

Went to Pizza Hut yesterday. Walked in, told them my name. They got my food and put in on a designated table. I picked it up and left. Not perfect, but certainly less contact than before.

The bogo deal is expired :(

I ordered from Dominos this weekend and they did the curbside pickup onto the hood. I have to say I didn't know what to expect when I went to pick it up at first. I guess it depends on the location and if the store owners are competent enough to educate their employees.

I would not trust any of the businesses right now. Even the disinfection of carts at the grocery store is iffy iffy. I was at grocery shopping and the guy cleaning the cart was just doing it for the sake of doing. Only a couple of spray on the top of the cart handle and wipe it off with the paper towel. No cleaning on the bottom of the handle.

50% off Sun-Wed I think is a better deal on those days.

This is paranoia. Just wash your hands when you get home and before you eat your meal. Plus Covid 19 doesn't spread if you accidentally eat it. https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/ ... risks.html

I prefer the weeks where they do 2for1. Probably because we like to order pizza on Fridays after surviving the work week. The $5 deal sort of makes you have to buy 4 pizza's to average down the cost and make it worthwhile. The 2for1 (or 50% off in your case) means you can get away with buying a few, which is better.

Just put your pizza in the oven for 5 minutes at 400 F - tastes better after that too!

My thing with this deal is that I order all 4 pizzas and just freeze what we dont eat. It reheats well from frozen at 475degF to 500degF for about 8 to 10 mins. For my wife and me it makes about 4-5 meals at about $10 for each night. Guess that's the OG RFDr in me.
