PlayStation Classic USD$39.99, or CAD$69.98

Updating the thread to reflect Amazon.ca price.

Let the downvotes and console fanboyism begin!
Wal-Mart US is trying to clear out some of their PSC stock at $39.99. Free two-day shipping, only to US postal codes I would assume. Doesn't seem like we're following through yet, its still $129.99 here. With currency conversion though, I think that's the same price...

So, I know these are absolute trash out of the box - but any good for modding?

Yes, though you'll need to use a USB stick in the 2nd controller port.

They're working on OTG adapter and internal storage support, similar to what the Nintendo ones have already.

I can see this hitting $49.99 at Canadian Walmarts, sooner than later.

How would internal storage work?

Hopefully they can get dual analog to work for other controllers, last I checked they just emulate the D-pad with the left stick.

The existing internal storage on the system.

True analog works fine if you're using the Retroarch emulator; I've been using my DS4 without problems.

I see, guess the internal could be handy to load up with older systems instead of the few PS titles. Nice that the analog is working now.

It will be selling at the Dollar Store by the end of the year.

Too bad. They had potential but really doomed from the announcement. Anything past 16 bit era is painful to revisit.

Why the down vote?
RFD ppl seem to prefer nintendo consoles over sony
also are against a $130 unit why not so good/popular games
and deemed to be fairly priced at $30 instead

plus already saw it for $40 or so in boxing week so
U$40 and a 1.5hr drive each way in the snow for many of us
makes it a COLD deal

This isn't even about fanboyism...it's about RFD principle, lol. It was $30 CAD at Costco which means it's a 'matter of time' before it hits that price at other retailers (hopefully). The US Walmart price is roughly $53 CAD...I'll wait.
