Please help to estimate how much to sell my car

Hi,

I'm planning to sell my car, never done this before.
Hoping I could have some advices.
Please see below for the specs.
My car: Odyssey LE 2011
Milage: 173k
Tires: all weather (1yrs old), winter (1 yrs old)
Condition: well maintained, followed oil change notifications, no issues for driving, no weird sound, 1 rust spot around the rear tire (size about a dime)
Added features: remote start, front & rear camera, Bluetooth

I searched Autotrader, similar cars are selling around 13k.
Just wondering approximately what'd be the actual price should I expect to sell my car.

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

I would expect to get anywhere from 11-13k

According to a tool I use at work, the wholesale value is about 9k-10k

Also, try these websites for an instant cash offer:
https://www.clutch.ca/
https://www.autotrader.ca/ico/
https://www.altanissan.com/tools/kbb/in ... -offer.htm

Sometimes these pay out good money and you can skip the hassle of selling privately.

Let me know how it goes.

Check vmrcanada. Not sure how accurate they are now given all the shortages.

Interesting, I popped my car’s info in all 3 websites for fun and Alta Nissan instant cash offer was like double the others!

Seems too good to be true, I would sell my car in a heartbeat for that offer.

Anyone with experience selling their car to Alta Nissan?

Nothing at the moment

Alta nissan is using a tool from Kelly Blue Book. Almost equivalent to autotrader from US.

Kelly blue book instant Cash Offer is just starting up in Canada and will be on a wider basis market soon. Alta nissan is one of the first adoptors to its instant Cash Offer tool.

If your car matches what you provided in the portal, they will take it, and if dealer does not want to keep it, Kelly blue book will buy it from the dealer.

Thanks for your inputs.
I'll try the websites and talk to the dealerships.

I didn't (or haven't yet) - still debating. Quote seems too good to be true......and their dealership isn't close to me. Wifey thinks we should just keep the car since I'm going back into the office now & will need a car anyways.

Thanks for this. Might go this route for my parents old minivan which is in perfect shape and low mileage. Been debating what to do with it.

Kelly blue book just released their instant cash offer portal. So you are not limited to Alta Nissan anymore
https://www.kbb.com/instant-cash-offer/

These offers are guaranteed as long as your car matches the details provided. If the dealer doesn't want the car, KBB buys it from the dealer.

Does this seem to be USA only? As it only lets you pick states, not provinces?

Your wife has the best idea of keeping the vehicle, since you will be needing it anyways.

Unless there is an imperative need to sell it, then why put yourself thru the grief of trying to sell it ( dealing with idiots ) and then dealing with salesmen ( more idiots) since you will need a car anyways.
