They seem to send out the offer emails on Fridays so keep your eyes out for it and check your junk/spam folder. Remember you only have 48 hours to act on the deal. Also, when I first heard about the offer (reported in another thread) I emailed Plex about it and asked if I could get the promotion. I got a response back with their standard "it's all random, keep your eyes out, yadda yadda..." But the week after I received the offer. So I'm not sure if it's coincidence or if you email them about it, your chances may be higher. Doesn't hurt to try...

I used kodi. If you set content, all the info get sorted like Plex.

My wife used it all the time and have no issues.

With the lifetime pass is there a limit to how many android/ios devices you can use without paying the one time unlock fee?

no limit. But obviously if you are streaming from multiple devices at the sametime, the transcoding will be limited by the capabilities of the PC/NAS that is hosting your PMS.

thanks for the info. Wonder if I'm better off just paying to unlock a few devices vs paying the lifetime subscription. Looking at the extra features I doubt I would use them all.

Plex Mobile Sync/Plex DVR/Plex Live TV are enough of a reason to purchase the lifetime plex pass. I used to pay $25 USD/year just for EPG TV Guide data for NPVR. Now I no longer need to do that. If I didn't already have the lifetime sub, I'd likely would have purchased it with the current 20% offer.

My Outdoor Antenna mounted on my roof picks up 17 OTA channels which is connected to my HDHomeRun Dual TV tuner that is connected to my Home Network which is connected to my Windows 10 PC that is hosting my Plex Media Server which is setup to record my TV Shows. I even purchased MCEBuddy that is used to monitor the folder where Plex stores the recorded TV Shows and strips them of commercials.

The only draw back right now is the LIVE TV viewing in Plex can only be watch on my iPhone. Waiting for this functionality to reach Roku/Fire TV, but I'm assuming it will be available soon enough. But I can still watch Live TV via other apps.

At rollout I think Live TV was only available on iOS mobile devices and Android TV.

Just Newbie question regarding Plex functionality, I am Plex free service user . I want to eliminate PC ON dependency in my home network to run Plex server channels on my android box through plex app. I do not have any intention to watch local media. I already know how to add plex plugins & watch channel functionality. Basically I want kodi similar functionality . Kodi is also running on same android box. So this plex app is substitute for any kodi addon failure for specific product (show or movie). My question is Plex cloud eliminate PC ON necessity or that is only a storage media place? any Pro & Cons, suggestion & tricks are welcome. i don not want to buy Plex subscription.

Plex Cloud doesn't support channels so I don't think you can achieve what you want with Plex Cloud. And you can't get Plex Cloud if you don't want to buy a Plex subscription.

Oh sorry about that. It used to be limited to Plex Pass subscribers only but I guess they've now rolled it out to all users. But answer is still the same, unfortunately. Plex Cloud doesn't support channels.

I know Plex is very powerful & popular. I used on trial basis with free features, it is amazing no doubt.
One Dumb question, everybody having a Plex subscription running some kind of PC or NAS equipment in his home network 24/7 or there may any special paid feature or trick which eliminate the presence of running PC on home network, i want to eliminate unattended PC running at my home. i need this feature external media not for any local media.

Most have a server or NAS running Plex Server. Not sure what you mean by external media and local media but you can access the pelx media library if you're outside your local network once you port forward.

*Sigh* if only life time pass was cheaper I would sign up right away. Was one of those that got the $75 offer when I joined up but only noticed it when it was long expired. Oh well...
