Poor uptake on Alexa features behind increased nagging
"Alexa is nagging you more because Amazon knows you don’t care about its new features
Alexa can do more than set timers, but do users care?"

I've certainly noticed the increase in annoying "By the way, did you know I could (some useless feature that I already knew about)".
I would be more receptive if Alexa hadn't quietly canceled its single most useful and distinguishing feature last month: voice access to email. Up until last month you could ask Alexa to check your email, have it read out any new email, and reply by voice. Amazon just suddenly announced that feature was going away, no reason given.
