Porch Enclosure installation

There are standard builder's railings currently mounted on the posts of the porch. If I decide to add porch enclosure, installer will need to remove the railings. There will screw holes on those posts and some paints will peel off. I wonder what the normal procedure for enclosure installer is. Can I assume they will fill those holes from previous railings before attaching the glass & aluminium panels on them? What about the paints ? If I also notice some paint are peeling from the caps of those posts. Would installer usually handle posts painting if needed (provided I pay extra for that) ?

Thanks for sharing your experience.

As they say ...
A photo is worth a 1000 words

So, a Photo would be helpful here to see what your current situation looks like
Cuz every porch is different
From the beginning point / what an installer has to work with

As well as a photo / link to the type of porch enclosure you have in mind for the space

NOTE - Depending on the product installed to do the enclosure
I have seen where yes the porch railings / balusters have been removed
But I have also seen enclosures that also can be installed
Inside of them, outside of them, or incorporate them into the wall itself
(Again hard to describe ... and why one would need to see your current set up )

Mine is something like this with the railings attached to the post. You are right. I have seen someone installed the enclosure panels inside/outside the railings, but they look kind of weird to me. Do installers usually remove them ?
