Is it possible to get an HR related job in Ottawa without being bilingual?

Just based off of a quick glance at open positions, I did notice that there are many HR related jobs that require bilingualism or consider it an asset.

But with that said, I also saw an equal number of jobs that didn't seem to mention bilingualism anywhere in the posting.

So is getting an HR related job in Ottawa doable if you're fluent in English only?

Not one person working in HR in my company speaks french.

Depends on the composition of the HR team. If there are already bilingual speakers in the team, having another one may not be critical.

Bilingualism would definitely be an asset in Ottawa, but i think is mainly a requirement for government jobs.
