Prepaid Options with WiFi Calling? Virgin? PC Mobile?

Both websites have reference to Wifi calling but I cant find anything definitive so looking for confirmation from anyone who may have either of these services. Calling both respective "Support" numbers proved useless as well with alot of "probably" and "i think so" responses.

I work in a remote area with no cell service for 2 weeks out of every month so I'm looking for a reasonably priced plan with about 1GB of data for when I am not at work. Tried Koodo but the reception was not as good as Bell at home so looking to their flanker brands for a solution. Currently with Lucky but their "WiFi Calling App" assigns a different number and stopped working on me 2 days after going back to work so I cant rely on it, plus want to be able to get calls and texts to my normal number.

If I were you, id port my main number to freedom (e-sim 1), and get a virgin prepaid plan (from quebec, as they have better prices), and use the data from this on sim 2.

if he did have an iPhone, it would work anywhere in the Canada since you'd be using the data from the 2nd sim for wifi-calling.

for now only freedom and rogers/fido offer wifi calling outside of Canada. so, you could go to the UK, pop in a local sim, and your freedom/rogers line will still work with wifi calling. no long distance/roaming charges. search reddit for confirmation.

yes you will still get your calls.

this is why the name wifi-calling confuses people. you don't ONLY need wifi. you just need any connection to the internet. (using the data from the virgin sim - which uses bell's towers, which you said works well out there)....again, this works for only iPhones for now.

but like you said they don't make it clear which plans have wifi calling. if they did, you be able to get the 4GB for $40 (5GB if you do autopay).
this would be your best and cheapest plan. maybe send them an email and ask/confirm which plans have it.
