Price Check - 2011 Toyota Camry LE (300km ODO) for $4000

Hey all!

I'm in the market for a used car was wondering if this was a fair price. It's a 2011 Toyota Camry LE with 300KM on the Odometer. Would $4000 be average? Thanks, and hope you can help!

Cheers!

Edit: The Car was used as a taxi but was both maintained well (according to regular maintenance requirements). My goal was to get something cheap that would last me for about a year or two. Thanks!

Yea, it was a taxi vehicle that my friend used it as. I'm just looking for something that will keep me going for about a year or two. He's kept it in good condition and has been great with getting maintenance done. Sorry about not getting too into it.

Take it to a mechanic and do an extensive ppi and see what kind of issues it has and then you can decide based on the report.

Certainly you don't want to spend $4 on the car and then spend $4k ? on major repairs and other wearable items.

I've learned my lesson the hard way to stay far away from ex taxi's, cop cars, etc.

60k a year is heavy use! And because it's a former taxi, everything in it has received hard use and it's been running constantly for many hours every day in start-stop city driving conditions. Cop cars are beefed up for the job they do but I don't believe taxis are. I'd say give it a miss unless you're prepared to work on it yourself or have a trusted mechanic.

Wow isn't 300K just getting warmed up for a Toyota? I thought here of all places everyone would be screaming grab it those cars last 100000000 miles no problem. LOL

Seriously, though it isn't the 300K it is the extra 40% to 60% of "mileage" from idling time on the engine I would be worried about....

$4k is cheap if there are no issues with the car and if it comes with stability control. 02 Civic like mine are listed between $500 and 2,000 (doubt it will sell for $2k though) on autotrader and most have almost 300k on them.
