Price hike Chatr

Chatr has reduced the data allotment for the $40 plan for ages now. So far, no competitive response from Public Mobile. My sense is that if there is a response, it won't be immediate. The federal government is pushing hard for a "25%" reduction in average cell plan bill at the moment. Public Mobile is on an ad campaign to prove that they are in compliance with federal government initiatives. See "true north affordability" label on plans that are deemed to meet criteria which includes the current $50 plan. It would be disingenuous to make huge price changes while campaigning on affordability.

Lucky and Public copy each other. Chatr has been noticeably worse for a long time now. Chatr continues to charge for voicemail retrieval on some plans, and the $25 plan at Chatr only includes unlimited incoming minutes. Neither Public nor Lucky has tried to copy that.
