If people can stop buying micro USB devices and cables, that would be great, so that one day they can please stop making them and we can live our dreams of all Type C utopia

If you don't have a bag full of micro USB cables at this point, what have you even been doing the last 10 years? Face With Tears Of Joy

I consider myself fairly light on buying "e-waste" by RFD standards. I usually only pickup what I use often. That being said, I literally have a drawer of MicroUSB cables. I can't be arsed to check, but there's a jumble of cables which loosely could be sorted as:

- Good quality + data
- Okay quality + data
- Okay quality no data
- Barely passable no data

I'm still using a rather thick OG Blackberry cable for MicroUSB as it was able to provide the highest power transfer while still able to do a proper/stable data connection. Usually the shorter (and no data) cables as pack ins with noname/rebranded chinese oem electronics are power only (i.e. no data).

I also have a section for Type-C cables, lightning cables and then Apple had to go and make Type-C to lightning so that became a sorting issue.

AAAANYWAYS. I agree, if you don't have one (MicroUSB to A cable), ask a friend.
