Okay deal if you must get one now.

It goes to $9.99+fs a few times a year. I got one from their last sale in June

Just picked one up a month ago or so for $9.99 as well. Great mount, and you still can't beat $17 if you need it shipped. It's a lot lighter than I expected it to be though. Haven't even unboxed it yet as I have yet to receive my new TV Face With Tears Of Joy

This mounts awesome. Even for $20 its a good price if including shipping. I'm using it to hold such a small TV, but the price is right!

Has anyone tried using this mount for TVs on the larger end of this product's range? (eg. 55", 60")
Great deal but obviously I am worried about whether a $18 mount can be trusted to support a $700 TV

Assuming you properly attach these mounts to your wall (either hitting studs with the included lag bolts or fastened correctly to masonry wall), these can support a lot of weight. TVs nowadays are light; even the larger 65-70". TV wall mount designs has not changed much over the years and if the older mounts can support old TVs weighing as much as a child, it can hold these new TVs.

Absolutely no issue. Mounted a 65” with this mount. It’s solid and included hardware kit is more than adequate. It’s a great mount for that price.

a bit of a tangent but anyone have a recommendation for a tilting mount that can be lowered / pull down?

We are mounting the TV above the fireplace but it is too high, would like one that can be pulled down for eye level viewing

In for one, thanks!
Don't need it right away but figured worth having for the eventual upgrade... (he said after every single RFD purchase)

Anyone able to recommend what type of screws to use? The ones hat typically come with these units strip a bit too easily, I’ve experienced it in a previous mount from primedables.

Also I’m trying to figure out what type of 3/4” screw I’ll need to hold a 21-24” monitor on the 5/8thick plywood held between two studs by means of pocket holes into the studs. Anyone able to recommend anything?

Unless your monitor was made prior to 2010, it should be really light so it really doesnt matter what you use. Now if you have a old heavy monitor then i would suggest a round/pan headed screw. They tend to have a strong pull strength and more material on the head so its less prone to stripping.

Thanks! Also I’m planning to install a large tv in the far future (80”) and have some hardwood flooring pieces. My walls are 24oc apart. Google couldn’t tell me whether it was ok to use engineered hardwood tongue and groove (3/4” thick) to replace a piece of plywood I would need to mount the tv. Also the prime cable tv mount is roughly 1-1/2 away from the edge of the to and bottom of the plank.
