[Primecables.ca] Primecables 2-Stage Single Motor Electric Standing Desk Frame - Black $199.99

This is the lower tier of the primecables electric standing desk frames. Pretty barebone with no memory options. On sale for $199.99. Not a bad price if you don't need anything fancy.

Height adjustment: 73-123cm (With Table Top)
Height adjustment: 72.5-120.5cm (Without Table Top)
Table frame length adjustment: 92/102/112cm (Without Table Top)

Usually Ikea, but it's online delivery only right now, which makes them more expensive... In the other standing desk threads, people have purchased table tops from home depot, lowes/rona, structube, etc...

Thanks OP, I've been looking at getting a standing desk and this is pretty cheap compared to everything else out there. Has anyone had experience with this specific model? I've heard the primecable desks are super wobbly when elevated.

I bought ikea table tops on kijiji, if you do enough homework, the 2nd hand marketplace is very fun

this looks like the Gen 1 model - nice to get into. I personally like the height display on the control board in the Generation 2 model.

there's also kitchen countertops from home depot that work

or those build it yourself live edge surfaces with pocket holes that you can sand with with those Walmart $10 orbital sanders

My current setup is using a kitchen countertop. Works pretty well.

I mean, I bought a wood kitchen countertop for my girlfriend's standing desk... works great.

Got this back in December ($169 at the time I think) and it's been solid so far. It's manual I didn't feel it was worth the extra $$ for the memory module. It's simple enough to raise and lower when necessary. Combined with a tabletop from IKEA (HILVER - https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/hilver-tab ... -80278287/) and I have a rather profession sit/stand setup for a fraction of the cost.

I got this last year and the Hilver tabletop from IKEA.

Overall its very good, The up and down motion isn't the smoothest nor the fastest but it's very good for the price.

Depending on what you want to use it for, I think the limited height range is more important. If you want to use a keyboard both sitting and standing, you will need a keyboard tray under the desk if you are under 6′ tall, and a really thick desktop if you are over 6′4″. Search the internet for [ergonomic desk height calculator].
