Dual motor has double the weight capacity, and has the pre-programmable settings. Those settings are so useful, just press a button and it goes to the exact height you want it to. I have the dual, my friend has the single - and I'm really happy I paid extra for it. It also has a better cabling system.

Also, If you are small, you might want the dual motor since it's going lower:

Single motor range from 73cm to 123cm
Dual motor range from 62cm to 125cm

I think primary difference is weight capacity b.c. my single motor has pre-programmable settings as well.

Buy only what you need and save the extra $ for things like mounting arms or keyboard trays etc. Keyboard trays are very very useful as it saves desk workspace

The biggest difference between the single and dual stage is how low it goes,

72 vs 62 may not be a big difference on paper, but trust me it was noticeable. I returned my single motor for a dual, I am much more satisfied with the dual motor.

Just want to point out that they have single-motor desks that also come with the pre-programable buttons, along with their cheaper model that just has up/down buttons. I agree that you should spend more for at least the pre-programable buttons (though I see that version is currently not on sale). Everything else is true. For cable management on the single-motor desks, I just installed the signum from Ikea and it does wire management just fine. The comments about lower heights are also true and also very noticeable. 71cm is the lowest the single motor can go and it is pretty high and noticeable.

I highly recommend the dual-motor stand desk. Very pleased with how my set up came out with the Structube LIFT Top (which includes pre-set holes on where to screw the desk frame in) + monitor mounts that have been on RFD lately.

The desk itself is pretty easy to assemble (should take you 20-30mins).

How much you can put on the desk.

If you've got a monitor or two and a keyboard there's no difference.

Start adding stuff, like a desktop box, 3rd monitor, etc you might exceed the capacity of the single motor.

Or if you use your desk as a ladder. But no in all reality, I upgraded my partner and myself from single to dual motors awhile back. For her it's the height benefit, for me, I like my desk large, thick, and deep.
