This item goes on sale periodically. Something pretty handy to have lying around for those times when you need some real muscle lifting stuff, or pull stuff. I can't recall what the "lever" or multiplier is.
Last time I used mine was when I brought my really really heavy and ackward treadmill home and I had to get it to basement. Rather than risk crushing the person down below, I tied off the box and then attached the hoist and held onto it as a safety line.
