[Princess Auto] 1 Gallon Spot Sprayer 7.99 - $11 off

1-gallon-spot-sprayer

Operates @ 29 to 45 PSI. Adjustable fine mist to jet stream nozzle.

Shoulder strap, 14 in. wand and 51 in. hose

great for garden pest spraying and chemical weeding

I've had one for five years
- never any issues
- just remember never store the chemical in the sprayer
- empty and purge with water after use

why never store the chemical in the sprayer?

I bought these last summer on sale. Note that the spray is not that wide, which might be annoying if you have a large area to spray. Max width is probably 6" no matter how much you pump it. If that doesn't matter then it's definitely worth it for the price. In my experience you need specific nozzles and not sprayers with adjustable nozzles to get more than 1' width spray

Likely the mechanism components aren't designed to handle constant chemical contact of every/any type of chemical, so it's the best way to ensure longevity. I would assume removing the mechanism, flushing and storing it separate, then sealing up the jug with another lid would work fine too.

Have you ever used this for applying wood cleaner/brightened and/or wood stain?

I was going to try this for restoring my fence wood boards but figured I’d ask if you have any products which have worked well for you. TIA

A decent deal for an almost disposable sprayer. Like OP said flush with water and rinse out after use to extend the life of the seals and O rings.

Had one of these from the last sale and just picked up another one. These are actually great for the beach when you want to rinse sand off your feet and sandals or equipment before getting back into the car.
