Check expiry date on the sealant. It's only good for 6-8 years. First two digits of the code are year of manufacture according to Amazon reviews.

Can we use this just as an inflator?
anyone used this model for that purpose? The gauge on the device is accurate?

Thanks! Hopefully the manufacture date still gives me 3-4 years. Ordered one for pickup as my car doesn't have a spare tire.

I have a Tesla, so NO spare tire OR repair kit. Its becoming the norm, so buy a plug kit ie. Plugs, glue and tool. Learn how to use it! Don't buy/use can of aerosol goop that will likely ruin TPMS. Compressor may be worth the price, but all are cheap, plastic, made in China junk...usually the hose blows off. I still have an old red Motomaster unit (China Tire) with digital display. Set pressure and it auto shuts off! Sadly, its long discontinued. Note: Sidewall damage isn't repairable...ya need a new tire, so disregard this thread.

Are there and guides as to how to use this?

In my experience, fix a flat or slime related products only work with a clean nail puncture that collapses in on itself. If it is a tear or a visible hole, this may not work.

Can anyone confirm the chemical can be removed, and this be used as a regular pump? It seems to have two hoses, one red (sealant) and one black. Could the black be standard inflation?

Aerosol tire in a can (flat repair) are TPMS safe these days, I have been using for over a decade never a concern. Usually is written right on the can itself.

I recommend tire in a can (flat repair) as well as a tire repair kit, both serve a purpose and should be part of every person's emergency car kit.

If in inclement weather and wife has a flat at 2am in a secluded area tire in a can (flat repair) is the right tool, in my driveway in the daytime tire repair kit is the better tool. No harm in having all options available to cover the situation you find yourself in as it isn't very expensive.

Add in a small 12v air compressor and you should be in half decent position to get going when in trouble tire wise.

I prefer the separate tire in a can (flat repair) with compressed air as I can give to stranded patrons on the road when changing tires is not safe to do so, a separate compressor for top off of air in case I encounter someone with a rim leak.

I remember when plugs came out there were considered a permanent repair, these days it is recommended to have a patch put on afterwards.

Cheers.

OP already had it in their post that it can be used to seal or to inflate only but here it is again in the FAQ:

"AirMan® can be used for both purposes. It repairs punctures and/or inflates only. Most AirMan® products are supplied with adaptors for inflating everyday objects such as balls, bikes, and other inflatable objects."

Hi everyone. This is a review of the Canadian kit, which is identical and no longer offered. I have had this in my car for years as I don’t have a spare tire. Last winter in -25C, I had a flat. I ran the sealant and then pumped air in and continue my journey home at city speed. No problems. Took the tire in and the shop fixed the flat. They said the stuff cleans easier than slime and my tpms was ok. The pump is able to function as just a pump. I really like it

The only knocks are they 1) the pressure gauge is way off, but I have my tpms to tell me my pressure. 2) I cant find the replacement sealant. I happened to find one at a clearance bin but nothing for 2 years anywhere

For some reason I couldn't resist this. My closet store didn't have any in stock. The Scarborough location had some left. I am being too cheap to give fedex $8.24 to ship it to me. But overall I did get it, I just had to buy one... Not sure why...

Waiting to hear from someone about expiry date. I was *this* close to ordering until I read about the shelf life. It's not unreasonable to assume these are on clearance because they're expired. Still useful as an inflator of course.
